What is G3list for?
Simply put, it enables bible believing christians to share bookmarks (favourites). By doing so it should help both the contributor and others to find those bookmarks again later (via relevant "tag" words or phrases).
When you email a link to your friends it soon becomes lost in the clutter. The idea behind G3list is to capture these great resource links as they are discovered and over time build up a library of them that anyone can access.
How do I find stuff?
The home page displays the most recent 100 submissions (most recent at top). Also you can:
- Click on one of the top 30 tags in right hand panel to see all entries tagged with it
- Go to "show all tags" and click on the tag of your choice
- Click on "view all by persons name" in any items footer line to view all posted by that user
...a search feature will be added at a later date.
How are tags generated?
When contributors add a bookmark they also enter up to three tag words (or short phrases) that relate to the topic of their bookmark. If they enter an existing tag the rating of that tag is increased (meaning that it's more likely to show on "Top 30", or higher in Top 30). Alternatively if they enter a tag that hasn't been used before it is added to the list. This means that the categorisation of entries dynamically reflects the content being added, rather than just being an arbitrary list.
How do I submit links?
To submit a link to a resource of value click here or select "submit" from the main menu. Note that all submitted links will be checked after submission to ensure relevancy.
What does the name mean?
The world media is always going on about the G7 (group of 7), the G8 or the G20; but the real power lies with the Group of Three (Father, Son, Holy Spirit).
